G4NXG/MSO LP 20MMy first time operating in a RTTY contest - it was fun!
G8VPESO LP ALLPropagation was difficult, see you next time. Thanks for the points
GM0HVSSO QRP 20MReally must learn to prep for the contest more than the night before
GM8SBHSO LP ALLFantastic activity level but heavy QRM. HF bands disappointing, nothing on 10m and very weak signals on 15m. No JA or ZL heard here and only one VK worked. 80m was especially good and busy!. Equipment TS990 (95watts) Hexbeam at 25ft, 40m quarter wave vertical wire, 80m full wave loop
GS8VLSO HP 20MI chose to do a single band effort on 20m as 15 has been dire this year and 10m non exostant. I hav e no anten nas for thje lower bands. Conditions on 20m were poor on Saturday and perhaps a little better on Sunday. Heard very little from south america or even africa. DX Asia was pretty sparse also. So, not a great effort. Some of the European signals were horrendously strong and in fact a station signing QRP managed to block the front end of my K3. Very powerful signal from Italy with 5 watts????? The call I used is the Club Call for the GMDX Group Scotland's DX Association, so at least it got dusted down on RTTY. Its been a while since I did some serious RTTY contesting so perhaps I have some cotton wool in my ears
GU0SUPSO LP ALLHad a stinking cold & bad head, so couldn't give as much as I would have liked. Still had some fun though. Nice to grab ZF9CW for a new slot on 40m RTTY too. My thanks to all for the points, and to CQ for hosting the contest
GW0ASO HP ALLThe prefix multiplier format helps a lot in the current poor band conditions. No need to spend a lot of time chasing a difficult DX entity, just go for rate and the mults come along!
